TRW BRAKE PADS

Hydraulics, brake discs & brake pads are all critical parts that work together but the parts which bear the burn of the direct force when the brakes are applied are the brake pads. Good quality pads enable a safe stopping distance and are also dependent on smooth brake discs for maximum gripping power. Unfortunately many people compromise on quality due to the price. They tend to forget that poor quality brake pads not only wear out quicker but also engrave into the disc therefore, increasing your expenses. A good quality brake pad should be replaced after approx. 75,000 km or longer depending on the car. Which then begs the question, Why TRW? … other than the fact that it specializes in automotive safety systems, here’s why… 1. Robust pad- it’s made from a high quality ceramic material known as D-Tec which makes the pad strong. It’s also covered with a powder coating which protects it from rust. 2. Very silent- the pads are fitted with high quality shims that acts as a damper between the friction material & brake calipers. 3. It’s SAFE- the company uses COTEC which is a new friction coating that significantly reduces the stopping distance not to mention the rigorous tests done before releasing the product into the market. 4. Good pedal feel-now who wouldn’t want that? When you notice a screeching/low grinding sound when braking or an increase in braking distance or the brake light on your dashboard, get a brake check as soon as possible. There’s nothing more dangerous than a moving car that doesn’t stop when you need it to stop safely.
